Police Items for Sale

It is important we point out that not everything on this page is sold by us, we list items sold by other police, or items we feel might be useful to police. The only items actually sold by us are our Retirement Patches, Motto Patches, 100th Anniversary Motors Patches and Breast Cancer Awareness Patches. They are only sold to help maintain the costs of the site, adding new pages, nd new information, we spend more than $50 a month on Sun Paper Articles to bring us as much history as we can find. Our Patches can be bought through us direct, or through us on eBay.

Ever on the Watch
Motto Patches
EEE Motto patch 2Established on November 9, 1880
"Semper Paratus, Semper Fideles, Ever on the Watch"
Our Motto is an interesting history, the discovery of it, is just as interesting, it was found in the book Our Police 1888, and dates to between 1880 and 1886... part of the Motto which is made up of three Mottos, teo of which are used by the military, The first the US Coast Guard, the second the US Marines, now what's interesting is the second part of the Motto, Ever Faithful, or Semper Fideles. Baltimore Police started usig this sometime between 9 Nov 1880 and 10 Nov 1886. The U.S. Marines began using the motto in 1883 -  So essentually we started using it around the same time. Baltimore having used it as part of their motto either 3 years before, or 3 years after... the Marines. The truth of the matter is; It doesn't matter who used it first… all that matters is both the U.S. Marines, and the Baltimore Police have lived it, and lived up to it since before either of us adopted the motto! This Motto, is about, men and women, backing up men and women, to better protect the men and women of our country, and of our communities. So when you hear someone say, "Semper Fi" hold your head high, knowing this saying has a deep history in your Baltimore Police Department.
BPD Motto sm
These are our motto patches come in two sizes; one is 4" wide x 4 3/4" tall, the other is approx 3"x 3"
they both cost the same, just $6.00 each and includes postage. So when sending payment let us know which size patch you are interested in. Just put "Large" or "Small" Motto Patch in with your payment. Payment can be sent to us at 8138 Dundalk Ave Baltimore Md 21222 Attention Kenny or Patty. Again make sure you let us know you want the Motto Patch and which size.
BTW the smaller Motto Patch only has the final portion of our Motto. long story short, Bill Hackley only found 1/3 of this Motto, and while working with the patch maker they wanted to reduce detail of our patch, in order to reduce the size of the patch, we reoolized we could keep detail, by using only 1/3 of the motto, and we used just the 1/3 Bill Hackley found when he found our Motto. For a few year there, we only knew of the, "Ever on the Watch" portion of our Motto. So this allows us to keep the detail we deserve, and honors our site Founder and his findings
my patchShoulder Patch Size
This was our first patch, and we encountered several opsticals, We wanted to make a Retired Patch, and due to cost, we figured it would be best to call down to legal to see about obtaining permission, we were told, it would take a long time and most likely be shot down, the person I had talked to knew of me and some of the things I had done both while on the department and since retiring, so they said, "You didn't hear this from me, but, while I can't give you permission to us the current patch, I can't stop you from using the "City" Patch. I actually like the City better, and when it came time to resize things to fi Retired in, The City Patch looked better anyway, and being a BPD History guy, City on the patch is kind of cool, some of todays police didn't Know City used to be on the patch

BPD Retired sm

Ball Cap Size Patch
Naturally if we had a Shoulder Patch we needed a cap, or vest patch, so we had these made too, perfect for a baseball cap, a sports coat pocket, or leather vest. These are nice patches

motors patch
This is our 100th Anniversary Motors Patch, and it is better looking in person than in pictures, it is huge (4"x7") and full of bright colors - My favorite patch is the large Motto because of it's message and history, but for looks, design and color, this is my second favorite, and the patch I am most proud of having designed. 4"x 7"  is a lot bigger than it sounds, but still small enough to thw shoulder of a leather Riders, or K9 coat

Like the Motto Patch, our Retired Patch also comes in two sizes, Shoulder Patch and a Baseball/Shirt Patch. Just include a quick note saying Large or Small Retired Police Patch you want.

These patches are also just $6.00 each: Again payment can be sent to Kenny or Patty Driscoll at 8138 Dundalk Ave. Baltimore, Md. 21222. And again include a short note letting us know if you want the "Shoulder" or "Ball Cap" size Patch(s) shipping is FREE to the lower 48... Elsewhere should check with us for shipping costs. My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor and a strong lady, I wanted something to have all the ladies in our lives think and remember to do monthly self-exams, and yearly mammograms. There are somethings that are hard to talk about to our girls, but if we have something like this that grabs their attention and forces them to think, we might save their lives. So we made these for our sisters in law enforcement, and all the ladies in our lives.

We also have Decals, for either the Motto or the Retired patch, Decals can be seen below for $7.50 each and we'll get it out to you right away.. the sales of these patches, and or decals, helps to keep the site up and running, they help us pay for information we have to buy to keep the site up to date, knowing when Station houses were opened, uniforms were changed, units began, and when and where our brothers were when they fell, all comes as a result of the sale of these patches, and decals. So we hope you will not only buy a patch or decal but that you will help spread the word, so others will buy them too. As well as helping to keep our other programs going, we are also working to add additional pages and modules to the site in the future. As past and present police of Baltimore's Police know we were part of something special, this site helps keep the department we knew alive, and as such this site has become known as one of the best, Departmental history sites on the web, thank you for being a part of it, and helping to make it happen.

561658 3920471133698 362405167 nWindow Decal - Like the Retired Patches above, these Window Decals are full of color, they hold up well in all types of weather and look great, selling for just $7.50 including shipping they are beautiful, and will help keep your history alive. Currently there is just the one size we are working on getting more.

We Have One More Important Patch
Breast Cancer Awareness Patch
BPD Pink

These cost a little more, but are well worth it as they are limited, and will hopefully cause our Women to think proactively, early detection can and does save lives. These come in two sizes also, the smaller patches are our standard $7.00 patch cost, but the larger Full Size Shoulder Patch is a little more still even at $10.00 they are still a great deal, and as limited as they are, this could be your only chance to get them  - We got such a good response on these that we decided to re-purchase another batch of them and to make things easier on Patty we kept the price down to $6.00 like all other patches in our collection.

(Quick Note: None of our patches look as good in pictures as they physically do in hand. We pay a little more for our patches, so that we can bring you the best. We have had companies approach us, with better prices or with promise to beat anyone price... The problem isn't price, it is quality. We currently deal with the best company we could find, a company that provides tight stitching, and most accurately depicts our artwork. We need the best so that we can keep our site up and running. So we hope you will buy our patches, and or make donations.)

Handmade in the USA using American made 550 and 275 paracord. The inner strands are removed so this bracelet is not as big, or as bulky, as some other paracord bracelets. Depending upon your wrist size you can expect your bracelet to contain 8 or more feet of paracord.    For a comfortable fit please measure your wrist and add at least 3/4 inch to your actual wrist size. Message me the total length you would like for the bracelet to be.   Or....   If you do not know your wrist size and are going for a generic fit, order using the sizes: Small (7') Medium (8") Large (9") X-Large (9.5")   Size matters! Measuring your wrist is the only way to ensure your bracelet will fit. All sales are final.   If communication has not been established within 24 hours from purchase, an 8" bracelet will be sent. Message me with any questions.   Thank You, Lisa
The  Paracord Bracelets are made by one of our Veterans so aside from helping this site, I hope we can also buy here to help her and thank her for her service

I don't know much about Nightstick Dave at 50 years old having come on in 1987, I was the oldschool, Nightstick Joe, Espantoon carrier. Still I am sure Dave does nice work, but would promise you other than Dave's being Baltimore Police himself, I know first hand of a Nightstick maker "Chase Armington" who does awesome work too, and Chase did something that I felt was out of this world, in kindness, When Jim Mitchell was dying, he wanted his stick to be Re-strapped, Jim knew he wouldn't spin it, but Jim Carried that stick since the 1950's and without a strap, he felt incomplete, I was going to send Jim's stick to Chase, to have it strapped, I offered to pay Chase, and asked that he forward the stick to Jim, with a ticket that said, "No Charge, Thank you for your service!" Jim's stick was an origional Carl Hagen Nightstick, Chase had concerns about sending it through the mail, so he drove 90 miles from his house to mine to restrap Jim's stick, refused payment, wouldn't even take gas or toll's. So touched by this were Patty and I that after Chase left, we went out got into our truck and drove the 90 miles from our house to Jim's and gave him his stick. He was excited to be reunited with an old friend. So I am forever thankful to Chase Armstrong of

So if you want a good stick, we give you two great options, in either Dave, or Chase.

The Baltimore Police Memorial Fund is proud to announce the release of:

"Some Gave All"

A History of Baltimore Police Officers

Killed in the Line of Duty

1808 – 2007

The Baltimore Police Memorial Fund is pleased to announce the release of Some Gave All. Written by Officers Steve Olson (ND) and Bobby Brown (SD) with a cover design by Officer Raul Alvarez (ND), this book chronicles the circumstances surrounding the 124 officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty throughout the history of the Baltimore Police Department. This 248 page hard cover volume with appendices and pictures also includes those officers who were previously unreported.

The cost of the book is $20 and all of the proceeds benefit the Memorial Fund to care for and maintain the memorial built for our fallen brothers and sister at the corner of Fayette and President.

There are a limited number of copies.   Those books that do not sell will be available at the FOP during regular business hours and Amazon.com following the official release. Purchasing the book from the FOP contributes significantly more of the cover price to the actual charity.

Bobby and Steve have done a marvelous job with the research and telling the story of each of our Fallen Heroes. This was a fantastic idea of these guys and everyone should purchase a copy of the book and read it. Our brothers and sisters must never ever be forgotten for what they contributed to the department. All proceeds will go directly to the memorial to preserve and maintain it. The book is a good read and best yet, it benefits our own.

police plate
This is the Baltimore Plate, where it says "Baltimore" can be replaced with "Officer" "Detective" "Lieutenant" "Active" "Retired" pretty much anything you can think of, as a joke on Facebook, we were making "Hump" plates. Back in 1992 we made one that said "Rookie" and put it on the new guys car, he drove around that way for a little bit. He turned out to be good police, and an even better friend. He became the epitome of the word "Brotherhood" means in police work. So pretty much whatever you can think of just write them at This email address is being protected from spambots. Cop in the Hood

is an explosive insider's story of what it is really like to be a police officer on the front lines of the war on drugs. Harvard-trained sociologist Peter Moskos became a cop in Baltimore's roughest neighborhood--the Eastern District, also the location for the first season of the critically acclaimed HBO drama The Wire--where he experienced real-life poverty and violent crime firsthand. He provides an unforgettable window into this world that outsiders never see--the thriving drug corners, the nerve-rattling patrols, and the heartbreaking failure of 911.

Moskos reveals the truth about the drug war and why it is engineered to fail--a truth he learned on the midnight shift. He describes police academy graduates fully unprepared for the realities of the street. He tells of a criminal justice system that incarcerates poor black men on a mass scale--a self-defeating system that measures success by arrest quotas and fosters a street code at odds with the rest of society--and argues for drug legalization as the only realistic way to end drug violence and let cops once again protect and serve. Moskos shows how officers in the ghetto are less concerned with those policed than with self-preservation and maximizing overtime pay--yet how any one of them would give their life for a fellow officer. Cop in the Hood ventures deep behind the Thin Blue Line to disclose the inner workings of law enforcement in America's inner cities. Those who read it will never view the badge the same way again.
